Based in Bromborough, Wirral, Merseyside, Merseybeams Ltd. started manufacturing floor beams in 1988. Merseybeams manufacture 150mm and 225mm deep prestressed concrete beams using mould cast techniques in accordance with BS8110 1985 Class 2. When used with 100mm standard solid block as infill, our floor beams produce a simple, quick and efficient Beam & Block suspended floor. The system is suitable for ground and upper floors and also flat roof structures. The spans available (see charts) enable most forms of construction and imposed loading to be accommodated. Quotations/contracts are offered on either a supply only or supply & fix basis.

March 2005 marked the opening of our new 18000 square foot purpose built production unit at our 2-acre site in Bromborough. The new facility has enabled all Beam & Block production to move indoors along with the introduction of an additional production facility for Wideslab units.

The new facility unit has doubled the production capacity of prestressed floor beams and enabled Merseybeams to enter the wideslab market with a capacity of over 50000m² per annum.

Merseybeams implemented its expansion plan in January 2003, which has culminated in its present position as a major player in the concrete flooring market.

Although large in capacity we have managed to maintain our policy of efficiency and service, and pride ourselves on our flexible, friendly approach to our customers whether they be a one off self-builder, or a multi-national construction firm.
